On the 16 th July 2005, the Hazardous Waste Regulations came into force. These replace the 1996 Special Waste Regulations and bring us into line with other European countries for those wastes that are harmful to human health or the environment.

The introduction of these new rules means that it is now impossible for refrigerated display cases to be destroyed without the mandatory three part consignment notes that must accompany them.
