Grade 2 Refurbishment Summary
Grade 2 refurbishment is now by far the most popular option for retailers as it combines as new finish and guarantees, with the cost saving benefits and reusing some parts.
On the following pages you can see a series of pictures which show a Grade 2 case being rebuilt, and gives you the opportunity to see “under the skin” of refurbishment.

When a cabinet is refurbished, the first action is to completely strip the cabinet down to its superstructure, and then refinish to new standard.
Pictures 1, 2 & 3 show the level of quality that is applied to the process and the level of refinishing applied to include, pilasters, drains and base units.

You will see form the next series of pictures that Bond re-installs original coils where appropriate. All coils are cleaned, fully tested and then all new control valves are installed.
Certain sheet metal items such as coil covers which are generally not affected by rust due to their construction are also reused. If original parts have degraded, then as part of the Grade 2 process, Bond will refinish if appropriate or replace the part.
You will see that the original fan housing is re-installed, however all fans, blades and wiring are renewed to original specification.

All internal panels are re-newed or recoated and you can see from the series of pictures showing the top panels and lighting unit assembly that all new electrical are used as well as the addition of new parabolic reflectors.

The next series of pictures show the final reassembly of internal panels, which again are either recoated. Or in the case of base pans and shelves – renewed.

These pictures show the part glazed end walls applied, shelves with ticket strips and top canopy.
